While many companies have been migrating to Office 365 over the past few years—and many BitTitan partners have been helping them do it—Microsoft’s cloud platform Azure has been gaining momentum of its own. In fact, more than 1,000 new customers are now signing up for Azure every day.
You’ve likely heard how the cloud phenomenon is transforming the enterprise—not to mention small- and mid-sized businesses. As that transformation unfolds, so too does the opportunity for our Partners to help them. The Azure platform is shaping up to be the next wave of the cloud opportunity.
Last month we released the BitTitan Azure Starter Kit specifically to help Partners who have previously been focused on the Office 365 opportunity expand into offering services around Microsoft Azure. Several common use cases for Azure make it easy to introduce to small and mid-size customers:
SQL 2005 end of support
In April 2016 tens of millions of SQL 2005 databases will no longer be supported by Microsoft, affecting tens of thousands of SMB customers. Many small and mid-size organizations don’t have a database administrator on staff, so they lack the resources and expertise to upgrade these databases. Migrating outdated SQL databases to Azure SQL can generate a near-immediate return on investment and provide your customers with other important benefits including uptime SLAs and automatic upgrades.
Unstructured data storage
Azure Blob Storage and Azure Files are a cost-effective and easy way to store large volumes of unstructured data including Microsoft Office files, video and audio files and database back-ups. SMBs can save thousands by migrating unstructured data to Azure from on-premises file shares and other cloud storage repositories like Amazon Web Services. Azure also offers market-leading mobile access to stored data and tighter integration to other Microsoft platforms your customers already use.
The Azure Starter Kit, available exclusively through the BitTitan MSPComplete platform, contains the tools and information you need to start selling Azure immediately without special training or certifications.
The Azure Starter Kit includes three tools to help you jumpstart your Azure business: HealthCheck for Azure, Database Migration and Cloud Storage Migration.
